Sparx Audio Adventures Amaze Students

Sparx, a professional audio-artist, specializing in entertaining, educational assembly programs, will be performing at (NAME OF SCHOOL GOES HERE) on (DAY AND DATE GO HERE).

In his assembly presentations, Sparx takes audiences on interactive audio journeys, using old-time radio sound effects and high-tech digital wizardry. Through comical explorations and deep-listening games, Sparx’s aural illusions blend language-arts, history, physics, and media technology to hitch the ear to the imagination, sparking children’s creativity.

Sparx is also known as Tony "Sparx" Palermo, a radio dramatist, performer, and educator who has produced and appeared in hundreds of shows for commercial, public and satellite radio, the United Nations, the Museum of Television & Radio, San Francisco’s Exploratorium, audiobooks, and schools—from kindergarten through college. His sound effects work on The Sherlock Holmes Theatre, helped it win the 2006 Audie Award--the Oscar of audiobooks. He most recently performed live sound effects with Eric Idle (of Monty Python and Spamalot fame)

Through his Sparx Audio Adventures, audiences discover how we use sound and story to perceive the world around us. You won't believe your ears!

His work is heard on NPR and XM Satellite Radio as well as in audiobooks and on stage, with the California Artists Radio Theater, L.A. Theatre Works, the Pasadena Playhouse, National Audio Theatre Festivals and others. His “Sparx Audio Adventures” assembly programs and workshops are popular with schools and colleges across California, the U.S. and the world.                                                audio journey, using old-time radio sound effects and high-tech digital
                                               wizardry. Students will discover how we use sound and story to make
                                               sense of the world around us. You’ll hear everything from thundering
                                               reactors to gargling bunny rabbits--and everyone gets to join in. You
                                               won't believe your ears!

                                               There will be two school assemblies during the day and a different show
                                               in the evening as part of a free Family Night at school. Students and their
                                               families can all attend the free evening show starting at (TIME GOES HERE).
